It seems the battle against Liberalism has been going on forever. Ronald Reagan gave a speech in support of Barry Goldwater at the Republican Convention in 1964 and in that speech he enumerated the issues confronting Americans. Surprisingly, most of the Liberal answers in 1964 are the same answers they are offering us today. Liberals are counting on our pitifully short memories. But, we must not forget. We must not and we cannot.
The question you have to ask yourself after watching this video is this, if Liberal answers were the right answers, why are they still trying to make us all believe them after 45 years? If the Liberal plans were the right plans, why have they not already succeeded. The full measure of a man takes place at the end of his life. Should we not measure Liberal success by the same scale?
Ronald Reagan said in this speech:
“The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but rather that they know so much that isn’t so.”
The truth that they ignore is that their programs have failed, their agenda has been proven wrong, and their own history is what they do not know. This speech is a teaching moment.
