Preamble To The U.S. Constitution

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Thomas Jefferson, March 4, 1801

[A] wise and frugal government... shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.

Question Authority With Conviction

By TheGuru

Here’s a poem written by Taylor Mali (http://www.taylormali.com) entitled “Totally Like Whatever”. It was put into video form by a student named Ronnie Bruce for a typographic class. I’m sure that neither one of them ever expected this to appear on a Tea Party website and they may well ask me to take it down (which I will do should they ask).

However, until that time I want you to watch this and understand that it explains a lot of why Tea Parties are gaining traction, credibility and winning hearts and minds. It will also be a good primer for candidates who seek to win our votes.

Believe what you are saying to the core of your soul. Say it with conviction. People will listen.

John Adams, 1765

Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood.
