Preamble To The U.S. Constitution

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Thomas Jefferson, March 4, 1801

[A] wise and frugal government... shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.

Ok, we got our hands on a copy of the full 1,018 page Health Care Reform Bill and wanted to post it for any of you who want’s to take a look at what our Elected Officials failed to read prior to voting for it. As the text of this bill has been made available problems are already starting to appear.

In fact in a recent opinion piece on the Inventors Business Daily (IBD) Editorial page, the problems started on page 16 of the Bill and will likely continue through-out this document. And, it doesn’ t seem to be a small problem either. In fact, it will only outlaw the selling of any private insurance that has an effective date AFTER the the “first day of the year the legislation becomes law.” Here’s the full quote:

“Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day” of the year the legislation becomes law.”

More to come on this I am sure and probably many more problems as more people do the homework the legislators should have done. We’ll try to keep you posted.

John Adams, 1765

Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood.
