I was going to write a big article to go with this, but after a day full of stress and frustration, I'm just going to let this speak for itself. Or, better yet, post a comment and let me know what you think.

** you don't have permission to see this link ** on August 13, 2009.

…since we haven't had a good religion food fight in a while, enjoy stalwart lefty Ed Schultz discovering the joys of faith-based politics. It's a testament to ** you don't have permission to see this link ** the left's rhetoric has become, especially when mouthed by MSNBC's primetime line-up of demagogues, that this line of attack comes off as comparatively genteel. Although maybe that's due in part to Schultz's guests here not barfing up the talking points he's expecting. Take a page from Olbermann, Ed: Make sure to screen the guests for total ideological conformity before you put them on the air. That way there are no surprises.

My very strong suspicion is that if I posted this on a lefty site, all the Christians there would say yes, of course Jesus wants universal health care. As it is, opinion among Christians here will be unanimous that he doesn't or that he'd have no opinion (\"render unto Caesar,\" etc.)

I am reminded of the story of two opposing armies on the battlefield and both are praying to God for a victory over their enemies. Both are sincere in their faith and their request from God so what does God do? Which army does he bless? How does He decide?

In my opinion His decision regarding anything is based upon how faithful to His written Word someone or some country as a whole is. It is not complicated I don't think. If a country or group of people think it is ok to kill babies in the womb and still tell people they are Christians then I disagree and I think God's Word does also. And if they kill babies in the womb or if they are in favor of abortion then they have lost all moral ground on which to stand and demonize Christians or anyone else regarding health care.

The fact is that this health care bill requires coverage of \"repoductive healthcare\" which is another way of dressing up the pig called abortion. The ability to pay for health care is a severe problem in this country and one we must address but we do not need liberal idealogues preaching to us about what Jesus would do while they are condoning the killing of babies. If we allow that to happen then euthanasia for the elderly and severly ill is not far behind. This bill is not about health care it is about control of people by restricting their individual freedoms. It is about power. It is about money and it is wrong for America.

Ok, I'll admit it, I could only get through half of this talking-head's vitriolic monologue; it just aggravated me (there are other words I could use, but you'll just have to read between the lines). I happen to agree with PrintDawg in that I believe that the liberals have no claim to the \"moral high ground\" because of their stance on specific issues like abortion and homosexuality. Simply put, they have no credibility. Unfortunately, they do have main stream media bias on their side, so they continue to produce and distribute their propaganda.

The liberal agenda includes bigger government, and more government control of all things, not just health care. It is one more step along the path to socialism, under the guise of \"the greater good\". We must continue our battle against this bill and others that would move this country along the path toward socialism. PrintDawg is right, this is about power, control, and money; and it is definitely wrong for America.

I do find it somewhat ironic and just a little frightening that the man who stood in a foreign country and announced to the world that America was no longer a Christian nation, is ready, willing and able to lecture Christians on the moral imperative of universal health care.

Just in case you missed it the first time, or think that I am using hyperbole…
