"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Thomas Jefferson, March 4, 1801
[A] wise and frugal government... shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.
If you think what the government is doing right now is scary, what about what the government ISN'T doing? Everything in this world has been turned upside down and while our President is constantly apologizing overseas and reducing our military's effectiveness, one of the basic tenents of the Constitution is being ignored. The Preamble instructs that the government should “provide for the common defense.” Ronald Reagan got it right when he called for a missle defense system. The technology is capable, but where is our defense?

Of the people, by the people, for the people means nothing to an administration cramming a health care rerform
bill down our throats. Vote on it , why not as long as we do something……….. right or wrong for “us the people” and on a bill, that has not even been released to be read, is how our government now acts. How blind and ignorant can our leaders be.
Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood.
