Matthew Vadum published an article on July 29, 2009 at The American Spectaor describing an interview that was conducted by Kyle Olson with Wade Rathke at a book signing in New Orleans. The book signing was for Rathke's new book: Citizen Wealth: Winning The Campaign to Save Working Families, in which Rathke tells some stories about his organizing efforts and the future of organizing.

Rathke writes in his book, “it is hard to believe that we cannot assemble the troops to mount a campaign for maximum eligible participation that harvests the opportunities and dollars already available if we could achieve full utilization of existing programs.”
