Preamble To The U.S. Constitution

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Thomas Jefferson, March 4, 1801

[A] wise and frugal government... shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.

Unfortunately, there is no way to embed the video at the link below, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a real “teachable moment.” Regardless of how you feel about Sarah Palin, you need to see this video. Watch it multiple times if necessary to let it sink in and understand the fight we are in.

Please forward this page and link to everyone you know. Bill Whittle of Pajamas TV is a great pundit and everything I’ve seen from him is right on target. This video is no exception.

Without a doubt this is clearest I have ever heard anyone describe the battle we have before us. We are not engaged in a war of guns & bullets but rather one of ideas and morals. If one has no morals then they are no standards to be held to so one can do as one pleases. But if you are a person of character then the opposition holds you to those standards. So is that wrong? No it isn't. We should practice what we preach but we should also have the courage to face down our opposition or they will continue to run over us. We should be consistent and hold them to the same standards. This is not a game we are playing. This is for absolute control of this country. Where do you stand?

John Adams, 1765

Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood.
