Patriots In The Plaza Event A Big Success!
Posted by: | CommentsThe MeridianTeaParty.com Patriots In The Plaza BBQ Event was an unqualified success!!!!
We served over 660 plates of great Squealer’s BBQ and we made a lot of new friends on that hot, hot day! After the money was all counted and all the bills were paid, MeridianTeaParty.com netted just over $2,800.00 for the Billboard Campaign!
When combined with the many, very generous donations that we’ve received over the past couple of months, we have now raised over $6,800.00! We have exceeded our original goal and we can now accelerate our schedule and get our second billboard up as quickly as possible. In addition, we will be planning a big event for either September or October to raise public awareness of the issues surrounding the November, 2010 elections.

As you may already be aware, MeridianTeaParty.com has been raising money for our Billboard Campaign. Our goal is to keep a billboard up until November 2, 2010 to raise awareness of the failure of our elected officials to live up to their oath to defend The Constitution and preserve the financial well-being of our Country. So far, we’ve raised about half of the money needed and our first billboard is up.
On July 2, 2010, MeridianTeaParty.com will be holding a fundraiser in the middle of downtown Meridian at Dumont Plaza from 10:00am until 2:00pm. We are currently selling tickets for Squealer’s BBQ plates for $7.00 each. We will deliver for purchases of 10 tickets or more!
Great BBQ is an awesome way to kick off the Fourth of July Weekend!!!!
Run For The Wall 2010

This is an event I’ll never miss again. Some of you may not know that the Tea party provided over a thousand homemade muffins for these guys at the Ag Center this morning. We also handed out a thousand or so flyers. We all got a chance to spend time talking to these folks and, to a person, they agree with us. We were literally preaching to the choir. If the rest of the country was like them this country would not have the problems we do and socialized medicine would never have made it to first base.
MeridianTeaParty.com Billboard Campaign
Posted by: | CommentsIn order to Win In November, Tea Party Groups and 9-12 Organizations all over the country will be working to educate voters and get the vote out on election day. MeridianTeaParty.com has decided start a billboard advertising campaign which will accomplish several goals at once:
- Raise Awareness About MeridianTeaParty.com
- Promote Conservative Values
- Increase The Public Visibility Of MeridianTeaParty.com
- Spread Our Message Outside the Borders Of Our County and State
- Remind Voters To Vote In November
- Generate Media Attention
To that end, we have several ideas for billboards and picture of each are shown below. Please review each billboard carefully and note the name of each.
Tax Day Protest!
Posted by: | CommentsMeeting Announcement – January 26, 2010
Posted by: | CommentsDate: Tuesday, January 26, 2010
Time: 6:30pm
Location: EMEPA Auditorium (On Hwy 39 – Click for Map)
Speaker: Lauderdale Circuit Clerk Donna Jill Johnson
The MeridianTeaParty.com will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the EMEPA Auditorium on Hwy 39 North starting at 6:30p.m. to discuss and introduce their first effort for 2010 which will be Voter Registration. Donna Jill Johnson, Lauderdale Circuit Clerk, will be our special guest speaker to talk about the voter registration process and how we can help her get as many voters registered as we can. She’ll also be providing us with voter registration forms to use as we try to get as many people signed up to vote.
In light of our recent petition efforts to get Voter ID on the ballot for all Mississippians to vote up or down and with the November Elections coming up this year, it is natural that we should be concerned about getting voters registered to vote. ACORN has been doing this for a long, long time and it is time for us to step up and encourage people to get involved and to excute their duty as citizens and vote!
We will also be discussing how to increase the number of members we have on our email subscriber list.
Come join us for a lively discussion and bring a friend or two with you!
Mississippi Voter ID Ballot Initiative Petition Drive
Posted by: | CommentsOn October 20th, 2009, MeridianTeaParty.com invited Jeppie Barbour of the Mississippi Republican Party to come and tell our members about their effort to gather 110,000 signatures on petitions prior to February 14th, 2010 to include a ballot initiative in 2011 to make Voter ID part of the Mississippi Constitution.
The MeridianTeaParty.com’s board and membership have agreed that this is an important effort and one that we can support in our part of the state. To that end, until November 17th, MeridianTeaParty.com members will be passing out petitions and asking for signatures. Read More→
MeridianTeaParty.com Meeting Announcement
Posted by: | CommentsOn Tuesday, October 20th, MeridianTeaParty.com will be hosting a meeting at the EMEPA Auditorium to discuss this important issue and to take action. We have schedule Jeppie Barbour (Gov. Haley Barbour’s brother) to come and speak to us about this issue and to help our members to play a critical role in the success of this effort. Jeppie is heading the effort to gather over 100,000 signatures on petitions to get Voter Id on the ballot in 2011. He is asking that we help by collecting signatures in Kemper, Neshoba, Lauderdale, Newton and Clarke counties. Mr. Barbour will be giving us an update on the progress of the effort so far as well as providing everyone with copies of the petition that we can use to collect as many signatures as possible. The plan is for him to return in November to collect our signed petitions.
After Mr. Barbour completes his presentation, we will be showing a one-hour documentary film entitled “33 Minutes” which documents the importance of missile defense to the U.S. and describes the systematic efforts by liberals in this country to dismantle our missile defense programs. This is a powerful movie and one everyone should see! With Iran’s continued march toward achieving nuclear weapons, this film is more timely than ever!
You can learn more about ‘33 Minutes’ and watch the movie trailer by clicking here.
We need to have as many people as possible attend this meeting so we can get the word out about Voter ID! With ACORN crumbling, this is the best opportunity we have had in years to bring reform to the voting process!
PLEASE INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND DO NOT MISS THIS EVENT!

Posted by: | CommentsTo everyone who helped plan and put on the MeridianTeaParty.com’s Health Care Town Hall & Rally in Dumont Plaza on 9-12, we want to say thank you!
To the 350+ people who braved the rain and came out to support us, we say THANK YOU!
To the speakers and performers who donated their time and efforts to educate and entertain the crowd, we say THANK YOU!!!
We learned from doctors who had worked or lived in countries with socialized medicine, we learned from young people who wanted to participate and we learned from the audience about their concerns. We celebrated the more than 20 people from our area who were part of the March on Washington, D.C. and we were excited to learn that more than 2 Million Americans marched on Washington today!
It was a great day for America!
God bless you all!
Pictures coming soon!
