Don Smith takes on gas price hypocrisy:
In 2006 the Democrats and the media screamed bloody murder over the high price of gas. When Barack Obama was inaugurated, the average gas price was $1.87 a gallon. Now that the price has more than doubled, what are the Democrats and the administration saying now? If you guessed that high gas prices under Obama are somehow a good thing, give yourself a pat on the back. The liberal mindset is always an amazing thing to behold.
I was reading the gas price hypocrisy article and there are additional facts that are being ignored. If you look at the price of gold in relationship to oil you’ll see that it has remained constant for 40 years. Here’s what I mean. In 1971 oil was $2.50 per barrel and gold was about $35 per ounce. The ratio is 14 to 1. To day oil is hovering slightly about $105 per barrel and gold is around $1500 an ounce. The ratio is 14.3. Of course they both go up and down daily, but over time this holds true. So what has changed? The value of the dollar. The Fed is the culprit.
Live in a cave and don’t recall the increase in gas price in 2006? The weekly average gas price started the year at $2.28 in February. It quickly rose to an average May to September of $2.90, an increase of .62, peaking at $3.02 in August. This video has all it’s facts completely wrong which can be shown to be nothing but a poorly fact checked video for propoganda use. Google people. Use it so you don’t watch garbage like this and think it’s real.
