I thought this might just be appropriate, I recieved this from Resistnet——
The Rules, Re-Written:
** you don't have permission to see this link ** will be put in place to protect the rest of the world from our collapse.
It is time for us to rise up in unison and use these rules against the very people who are trying to ruin the country and enslave us. “I don’t want to do that” you say. “Isn’t that mean” you complain. Hell yes it is. The ends justify the meanness. So sit back and ask yourself, “** you don't have permission to see this link **”? He would do whatever the hell he wanted.
Rules For Republicans:
1. Alinsky was right, power is not what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. What does this mean? It means if you have a protest, unadvertised, and the media shows up to find ten of you on the corner of a busy intersection with signs, and says, “there aren’t many of you” you reply ‘there were over a hundred here a little while ago, but being conservatives, they had to go to work‘. Ten of you on the corner is not power, one hundred is, when politicians think there are ten on the sidelines for every one of us out front.
2. Do not go outside your expertise or that of your people. Attack issues you have knowledge and background in. It gives you and your people confidence. Do not let the enemy control and steer the topics. You control everything.
3. Whenever possible, push your enemy outside their comfort zone. If a reporter sticks a microphone in your face at an event and you do not have an answer for a damning or damaging question, turn it around and ask the reporter a relevant question to the protest and put them on the defensive. What would Machiavelli do? Seize control.
4. Make the left live up to what they say. If they promise transparency, as soon as a bill is drafted, thousands of you, tens of thousands of you need to fax, email, write, and call, demanding copies of it. When they do not immediately respond, due to the overload of requests, send them second requests. Make it impossible to live up to their rules. Use the Freedom of Information Act to demand copies of voting records and expense reports as I have covered before. Never quit. Never let up.
5. Use ridicule. There is no defense to it. There is nothing the enemy can do but make a mistake and say or do something public and stupid. When they say something, reply, “Typical liberal talking point. Where are the facts? There aren’t any! This is so typical of you and your ilk”.
6. Do what you enjoy, you will do it more often. Like showing up unexpectedly at your legislators office? Good, do it. Like protesting during peak traffic times and anonymously calling in the news tip to get publicity? Get on it. Have fun. Making someone miserable shouldn’t be a bummer for you.
7. Stay fresh, change tactics. Protest two Tuesdays in a row and then do it Thursday. Rent a gorilla suit to hold your sign, or a clown costume.
8. Keep the pressure on. Constantly. Always. Never, ever let up. Going out of town, get someone to cover your duties. You can enjoy a week in Hawaii, but they shouldn’t enjoy your time away.
9. Perception is reality. Make grandiose threats that could have grave consequences. If the enemy perceives you as being strong enough to pull it off, it keeps them on edge and off of you. Poison their mind with fear and cripple them with ineffectiveness.
10. Push a negative hard enough, it becomes a positive. The left has taken this to mean, ‘tell a long enough, it becomes the truth’. Call the target a socialist, constantly, always and whenever there is someone around.
11. If do not have a solution to the problem, do not worry. Demand one from the target and then rip it apart, repeating the mantra: You are either part of the solution or part of the problem (put the negative last). Why do YOU insist on being part of the problem?
12. Alinsky said it best, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.\" Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)”. The ends justify the meanness. A whimpering, bumbling, shell of their former self is no longer a long term threat, but is an immediate threat to lash out.
Now, get together with your compatriots and pick your target. Follow the rules and reduce them to jello. Then go out and celebrate. You deserve it, you crushed your opponent. Remember, politics is a contact sport and you better make contact first, fast and not let up.
It is the Summer of Liberty, make it happen.
