** you don't have permission to see this link ** yesterday that so far, counties that supported Obama in 2008 have received double the amount of stimulus money received by counties that supported McCain. The story states:
The reports show the 872 counties that supported Obama received about $69 per person, on average. The 2,234 that supported ** you don't have permission to see this link ** received about $34.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs denied that there were any politics involved when it comes to recovery spending and investigators who track the stimulus are \"skeptical that political considerations could be at work.\" But the final paragraph contains a clue to why this is happening:
The imbalance didn't start with the stimulus. From 2005 through 2007, the counties that later voted for Obama collected about 50% more government aid than those that supported McCain, according to spending reports from the ** you don't have permission to see this link **.
Did you catch it? A lot of the folks who voted for Obama were and have been on the public dole for years and it appears that they read the tea leaves and figured they would get even more money by voting for \"The One.\" Frankly, I'm not surprised that there is a difference like this between voters. The takers will always vote for the person who promises them more, while the producers will vote for the person who promises to take away less.
No, what surprises me about this story can be found in the first two words of this comment: \"USAToday reported…\" Since when has the mainstream media started reporting stories that were less than praise and adulation for BHO, even mildly so? Does the reporter need to be polishing up his resume?
More importantly, for once the media got the story right. I agree that BHO probably isn't manipulating the payment of funds; he doesn't have to. The policies that caused this situation have been in place for years and have enslaved the citizens of these areas by making them believe that the GOVERNMENT will take care of them and give them everything they need. Can you blame them? Apparently, they have a lot of reasons ($) to believe this.
