Because They Fought For Me…

This may seem a little out of the ordinary since we’ve already celebrated the 4th of July and we’ve honored our fallen heroes on Memorial Day, but the fact is, every day we should be thankful that there are men and women willing to fight and die to defend our right to be free and to speak our mind.

It boggles my mind that anyone would not understand why there are so many people who have joined and/or participated in Tea Party groups and events across this country. It dismays me greatly when the mainstream media and others with obvious political agendas attempt to besmirch and maligned the people who have gathered together to exercise their freedom of speech, their freedom to petition their government, their freedom of assembly, and their freedom to vote.

At every meeting of Tea Party groups, I hear from people often former military who hold back the tears as they thank someone for doing what we are doing. It is humbling to say the least. If not for these warriors who lost their friends, their youth and their health, the freedoms we gather to defend and express would long ago have passed into the dustbin of history. These men and women stood tall in the face of death and for an some unfathomable reason, they fought for me. And you.

John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Thanks to all branches of the military for being my friend and guaranteeing my freedom to continue this Tea Party fight. It takes both of us to maintain liberty and it takes both of us to defend and uphold The Constitution.

I’ve got your back. Thanks for covering mine.
